Kelly Martin
Kelly Martin is a founding partner of Latham & Martin, where he dedicates his practice to personal injury litigation including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, and premises liability in Richmond and surrounding communities, including Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield, Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights.
When he’s not at a JMU football game, Mr. Martin enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and children.
Education and Experience
Mr. Martin graduated cum laude from the George Mason University Law School in Arlington, Virginia. Prior to forming Latham & Martin, Mr. Martin spent the majority of his career at a mid-size Richmond personal injury law firm, where he exclusively represented accident victims in Richmond, Petersburg, and surrounding communities.
He is licensed to practice in all Virginia courts and the Western and Eastern District Courts of Virginia.
Achievements
Mr. Martin was named a Super Lawyer by the Virginia Super Lawyers Magazine in the field of personal injury from 2020 through 2022. He was previously named a Rising Star by the Virginia Super Lawyers Magazine from 2014 through 2018.
Mr. Martin achieved the ninth-largest jury verdict in 2014 for his client who was injured by a work truck. His verdicts and settlements are frequently published in Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
He is active with the Richmond Bar and Virginia Trial Lawyers Associations and currently serves on several committees. He previously served on the Executive Committees for the Litigation Section and the Young Lawyers Section of the Richmond Bar Association.
Mr. Martin is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Richmond Bar Association.
